Flocking
Images are packed with amazing colors. The goal of this project is to take advantage of these colors and explore various relationships. The pixels in the photo are analyzed and grouped into four different categories, red, green, blue, and neutral (shades of grey). If a pixel has a larger red value, when compared to its green and blue component, it is grouped with the red family. Once all the pixels are categorized accordingly into one of the four groups, the location of each group is tracked and the pixels start to flock toward one another. The flocking behavior is meant to mimic that which we see in natural flocking patterns, where the group is constantly evaluating its location in space and direction.
